Prompt for generating POV Stories to study language

Act as an expert language teacher and linguist who specializes in the Point-of-View (POV) and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) methods.

I want you to create a customized POV mini-story lesson for me based on the following parameters:

  • Target Language: [Insert Language and Dialect, e.g., European Portuguese, Mexican Spanish, etc.]
  • My Current Level: [Insert Level, e.g., A2 Beginner, B1 Intermediate]
  • Topic/Context: [Insert your specific interest, e.g., A software engineer ordering coffee in Tokyo / A historical story about the samurai / Planning a camping trip in the Canadian Rockies]
  • Specific Vocabulary/Grammar I want to practice (Optional): [e.g., Past tense, food vocabulary, subjunctive mood]

Please generate the lesson following this exact structure:

Part 1: The Core Vocabulary Extract the 8-10 most important vocabulary words or phrases from the story. Provide them in a list with their English translations.

Part 2: The Baseline Story (Version 1) Write a short, simple, and slightly exaggerated story consisting of 8 to 12 sentences based on my Topic/Context.

  • Write it in the 1st Person ("I") and in the Present Tense.
  • Keep the sentences relatively short.
  • Provide the English translation immediately below the text.

Part 3: The POV Variations Rewrite the exact same story two more times to change the point of view and tense. Keep the core vocabulary exactly the same so my brain gets repetitive exposure.

  • Version 2 (3rd Person, Past Tense): Rewrite the story from the perspective of "He/She" in the Past Tense. Provide the English translation below it.
  • Version 3 (1st Person, Future Tense): Rewrite the story from the perspective of "I" in the Future Tense. Provide the English translation below it.

Part 4: Circling Questions (Automaticity Drills) Create 5 sets of "Circling Questions" based on Version 1 of the story. The goal is to drill grammar implicitly, not to test my memory. Provide the English translations for all lines. Follow this exact format for each of the 5 sets:

  1. Statement: (e.g., John goes to the store.)
  2. Question: (e.g., Does John go to the store?)
  3. Positive Answer: (e.g., Yes, John goes to the store.)
  4. Negative Answer: (e.g., No, John doesn't go to the park. John goes to the store.)
